Nova Scotia Family Information Birth Certificate (Long Form)
The Family Information Birth Certificate is the document of choice for children 16 years of age and under, as it is generally required by government agencies, such as Passport Canada, SGI, Aboriginal Affairs. Includes the individual's full name, date of birth, place of birth, sex, registration number, registration date, PLUS the parents' full names and their province/state and country of birth.
Nova Scotia Individual Information Birth Certificate
The Individual Information Birth Certificate contains the individual’s full name, date of birth, place of birth, sex, registration number and registration date. This certificate may not be ideal for children 16 years of age and under, as many government agencies require the additional information contained on the Family Information certificate.
Certified Copy of a Nova Scotia Birth Registration
A Certified Copy of a Nova Scotia Birth Registration is a photocopy of the actual birth registration filled out at the time of birth. This photocopy is certified as a true copy of the original.
